Pricing Calculator
I’ve built a coffee pricing calculator that connects directly to your profit and loss statement (P&L). Over the last 6 years, I’ve invested 200+ hours into crafting this tool—iterating, rebuilding, and testing to get it to where it is today.
This calculator has ensured a profitable wholesale and retail price and is trusted by notable coffee roasters from Chicago to Atlanta, Houston to Los Angeles and back to North Carolina.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Purchase the calculator and we’ll send you the a template.
Step 2: Ensure your P&L is trustworthy and accurate, and that your green coffee, packaging, and labels are categorized with their own individual line items.
Step 3: Determine how many pounds of roasted coffee you’ve sold in the last 12 months.
Step 4: Pull a P&L from the last 12 months.
Step 5: Determine how many pounds you’ve sold in each unit size you offer over the last 12 months.
Step 6: Identify your true landed packaging costs for each unit size you offer (bag, label, etc.).
Step 7: Define your desired wholesale and retail margins as needed.
Step 8: Once all of the above has been completed, we’ll schedule a one-hour call (recorded if desired) to walk you through using, updating, and optimizing this tool for you and your operations team.
Note: If you need custom solutions added to your calculator to fit your company, we’re happy to support you by either building them for you or coaching you through it. Custom work is billed hourly.
